DAVE GUTFRANSKI
PRESIDENT

DAVE GUTFRANSKI, PRESIDENT of Coastal Quality Construction brings over 20 years of construction experience to the firm. He holds an Associates of Science in Construction Technology from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelors of Science in Construction Management from the University of Akron. Throughout his career, Dave has held many different positions in the construction industry ranging from superintendent, project manager, and chief estimator. In addition, Dave has performed all of the above duties as a design builder and general contractor. Dave has been a project manager, chief estimator, and design builder in retail projects across the United States. Most recently Dave and Coastal Quality Construction, Inc. were the design team builders for Constantino’s Market and the General Contractor for Cleveland Yoga in the recently developed Uptown District. Dave has served as project manager for projects ranging up to $38,000,000.00.

On a daily basis Dave provides the leadership and guidance to perform the highest quality work at competitive prices instilling the motto “there are never problems, only opportunities to excel.”

DUSTIN THONEN
VP OF CONSTRUCTION

DUSTIN THONEN brings 19 years of construction experience to the firm.  He holds an Associate of Construction Engineering and Technology Degree along with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Engineering from the University of Akron.  Throughout his career, Dustin has held many different positions in the construction industry ranging from co-op, engineering technician, superintendent, and project manager.  Dustin brings a fresh perspective based on his knowledge of local construction.  He is accountable as the liaison with the design professionals, and for contract administration, quality control, cost effectiveness, and the efficiency of the overall construction procedures.  His experience ranges from large construction management projects to renovation projects, which has taught him the value of continuous and ongoing communications and documentation during a project.  Dustin has served as project manager ranging from $500,000 to $41,000,000.  Dustin is responsbile for contract administration, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, change order negotiation, and support to the field and subcontractors in order to implement all phases of construction through project closeout.
